About This Festival

HATCH Fest ## About the Event HATCH Fest is Hamilton County's premier celebration of Arts, Technology, Craft, and Heritage—a vibrant, free festival that transforms downtown Noblesville into a bustling creative marketplace. This beloved annual tradition brings together over 100 artisans, makers, and craftspeople from Noblesville and the surrounding region to showcase their one-of-a-kind creations. Whether you're a seasoned art collector or simply looking for a fun day out, HATCH Fest offers something special for everyone in the community. What makes this festival truly unique is its inclusive spirit and commitment to celebrating creativity at every level. Beyond the established artisans, HATCH Fest now features young entrepreneurs aged 5-17 through the Children's Entrepreneur Network, recognizing that innovation and artistic talent flourish across all ages in Hamilton County. The festival perfectly captures the entrepreneurial energy that defines this region while fostering a genuine sense of community pride. ## Activities & Attractions The festival fills the Noblesville Historic Courthouse Square and extends along Logan Street with an incredible array of experiences. You'll find talented artisans and makers displaying handcrafted jewelry, artwork, home décor, textiles, and so much more. Local nonprofits and businesses showcase their offerings with interactive demonstrations and activities throughout the day. Live entertainment is woven throughout the festival schedule, featuring Indiana music, cello performances, and blues music that create a festive atmosphere. A special highlight includes multiple readings of the Emancipation Proclamation to commemorate Juneteenth, honoring the historical significance of this time of year. The festival also coincides with St. Michael's Episcopal Church's beloved Strawberry Festival, making it the perfect opportunity to indulge in delicious strawberry shortcake and other treats while you browse the vendors. ## Schedule & Logistics HATCH Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 14. The festival originally began as the Nickel Plate Arts Festival in 2021, evolving through different iterations before finding its perfect home. The turning point came when organizers discovered that a pop-up art sale happening on the same day as St. Michael's Strawberry Festival created wonderful synergy. Both the artists and the Strawberry Festival organizers embraced the combination so enthusiastically that it became a permanent partnership. Each year, the festival continues to expand, reflecting the growing creative community and widespread enthusiasm for supporting local artists and entrepreneurs. The addition of youth vendors represents the festival's evolution and its commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative innovators in Hamilton County. This growth speaks volumes about the region's vibrant artistic culture and community dedication to celebrating local talent.
