Whether you're seeking live music, thrilling rides, or simply a place to gather with loved ones under the fireworks, CarmelFest delivers an unforgettable celebration that honors our nation's heritage while creating lasting memories. ## The Surrounding Area Carmel is a vibrant, affluent community in Hamilton County, just north of Indianapolis. The festival takes place at Carmel Civic Square and Carter Green, located at One Civic Square in the heart of downtown Carmel. This picturesque setting provides an ideal backdrop for a major celebration, with the town's charming downtown offering nearby dining, shopping, and attractions. The area is known for its well-maintained parks, cultural venues like The Palladium at The Center for the Performing Arts, and its strong sense of community pride. Carmel's convenient location makes it easily accessible from throughout central Indiana, and the town's infrastructure supports large gatherings with ample public spaces and amenities. ## Activities & Attractions CarmelFest offers an extraordinary variety of entertainment and activities for all ages: Live Entertainment features multiple stages showcasing diverse musical genres throughout the two-day festival. Past performers have included the Carmel Symphony Orchestra playing patriotic favorites, tribute bands like Southern Accents (Tom Petty Experience) and Back 2 Mac (Fleetwood Mac), and original acts ranging from blues-rock to indie pop. The lineup ensures something for every musical taste, from classic rock to country to contemporary pop. KidsZone is a dedicated play area featuring bungee jumping, obstacle courses, rock climbing, and rides in a safe, supervised environment—perfect for younger attendees to burn energy and create memories. Culinary Experiences span from traditional festival favorites to local cuisine offerings. A beer and wine garden provides the perfect relaxation spot to enjoy live music while sampling regional and local beverages. The Marketplace showcases local artisans and craftspeople, offering unique handmade creations and supporting the community's creative talent. The Allied Solutions CarmelFest Parade is a patriotic highlight, traveling west on Carmel Drive, north on Rangeline Road, and east on Main Street. Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs and claim prime viewing spots along the route. Fireworks provide a spectacular finale, lighting up the sky in a dazzling display of color and light. ## Schedule & Logistics CarmelFest takes place on July 3rd and 4th, 2026. The famous parade features live stream coverage beginning at 10:00 AM, and the Carmel Symphony Orchestra performs patriotic selections leading up to the evening fireworks display. Various musical performances occur throughout both days on the Carter Green Stage and other venues. Best of all, admission and parking are completely free. Visitors are welcome to bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, coolers, chairs, and blankets. However, tents and tarps are not permitted in concert areas, and drones are prohibited above parade and festival areas.
