About This Festival

The Wolf Lake Onion Days Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly community event held annually in Wolf Lake, Indiana, at Noble Township Park. The 2025 festival runs from July 31 to August 2 and celebrates the local pride and history of Wolf Lake with diverse activities including food and craft vendors, kiddie night, pedal tractor pulls, tractor show, a 5K Color Run, car show, magic show, parade, and live music with a new band each night.

The festival vibe is welcoming and festive, emphasizing entertainment for all ages. It features competitions like tractor pulls, pizza eating contests, garden tractor pulls, and contests such as the Miss Onion Days and Kiddie King & Queen. Additional activities include face painting, balloon artists, cake walks, an onion recipe contest, onion growing contest, euchre tournaments, cornhole contests, and a silent auction and raffle supporting the community spirit. The event also honors long-time volunteers and incorporates local traditions, with the International Harvester Collectors Chapter participating in the tractor show.

A rough schedule includes vendor booth setup early in the day, followed by evening activities such as silent auctions, contestant introductions, and food contests. Breakfast and garden tractor pulls occur the next morning, and the ongoing festival programming includes concerts, parades, and children's entertainment throughout the weekend. The event is handicapped accessible and supported by sponsors like Community State Bank and Marlow’s Pizza.

Wolf Lake Onion Days has a history of fostering community engagement through its many well-loved events, competitions, and family activities, continuing to grow with additions like KALITA Magic shows and an international tractor collectors chapter, making it a highlight summer festival in the region.
